Good luck to everyone!

Good luck everybody!

Maverick, what do you want to major in?

I’m 2 pts below the UIUC engineering TOEFL requirement, but I still get accept  I hope CMU won’t automatically reject applicants >_<

I’m applying for engineering but I forget what branch I put on my app… basically I’m undecided. But yeah can’t wait for decisions! Did anyone in here take the physics subject test?

^ I did! And the ap physics b exam too

^ I did it too.

I applied to H&SS for Decision Science. I think I have a good chance of getting in, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself here.

Yo. Applied to:

SCS

CIT (ECE)

I am very pessimistic about my chances of admission. Which is probably a good thing as it will be a nice surprise if I do get admitted and ‘expected’ if I get rejected. Good luck to the rest of you!

@ Ascaris

I’d think only SCS is where ANYONE should honestly be pessimistic, as that particular school is the real hard one to get into (I recall someone comparing their level of expectations for applicants to be the same as that of MIT). But regardless, good luck to you, and to everyone else for that matter!

Now, this isn’t exactly related, but I do have a question myself: are double degrees possible (as in, getting a degree from two different schools)? I’ve looked into SCS now, and I actually really want to have a degree from there, seeing that I’ve now gotten hooked onto Computer Science in my school.

I seem to be getting conflicting information about WHERE decision notifications are sent. I know if’s supposed to be released between mid-March to April 15, but am really hoping it will be sent by email or on-line. This is because I am an international student and regular snail mail will take TWO weeks to reach me! Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks.

It’d seem strange if a university renown for its computer science department does not release admission decisions online.

From what I understand, they send out the mail, and post decisions online three days later.

So if we dont get mail does that mean its probably a rjeection huh

From another thread:
It seems letters are due to be mailed Mar. 20 and all decisions are posted online Mar. 23.

March 23? really? That’s awesome! Last year, it was posted on March 27, but 4 days isn’t a big difference.

As anyone heard of getting a notification letter sooner than mid March?. I applied to SCS as my first choice. I applied MIT ED and that was a stupid thing to do. So for CMU I went regular admission. All the CMU students I met during sleep bag weekend were admitted via regular decision. SO I took that as a good sign

Wow I thought we got them in April. Anything in march is great!

i<3art: Sorry for the late reply! Been trying to keep senioritis at bay and haven’t been on here in some time. But, I want to double major in International Relations and Politics and Ethics, History and Public Policy.

Someone at my school told me decisions come out this week… Not sure of his sources but just wanted to put that out there!
