so does everyone get the email or not?
My son got an email to write the essay from SCS. Anyone else?
I’m waitlisted for SCS and I got the email a little after 2pm EST, I’d guess it depends on which school you’re waitlisted in, because maybe some others are already full? I dunno.
My son got an email as well to write an essay for SCS
Has anyone gotten one for design?
I just got an email that I am off the waitlist and into SCS!!! I was expecting an essay prompt, but hey I will take it #Tartan2023
I just got the email. It’s three hundred word response.
@recursionrocks did u write a letter of continued interest? or anything that could possibly get you off the waitlist?
Nope. I am double legacy and full pay so that is def what did it.
I’m really confused now
I had accepted the Priority waitlist at both the college of science and engineering
I got the essay prompt but the email doesn’t mention any specific college
Anyway I’ll do it. I’ll be happy attending either.
Did anyone from engineering NOT get the email
I got the email from biology.
my son also received the email for the writing prompt yest (SCS). fingers crossed! good luck everyone! no matter where you end up you will all do great! it is all about the effort regardless of school.
I got the email for MCS. Anyone know how they are going to respond?
Is this the prompt people have received?
It would be great if CMU publishes responses!
Got the email in the morning today that I’m off the priority waitlist and into Dietrich! Thought I would get an essay prompt but looks like they’re just taking students without it. It’s a crappy move to make some people write it when they’re just taking some people without it. #GoTartans!
P.S. - I’m an international student from India
@pranavg123 are u paying full tuition, do u have legacy and did you write a local?
I am paying full tuition. Not legacy and didn’t send a LOCI because CMU doesn’t consider demonstrated interest.
It seems as if CMU basically automatically admits students from the priority waiting list who can pay full tuition…rip
It is need-aware for WL. so full pay should have some advantage, but not all full payers get auto-admit.
