CAS Interview??

I just got an email from an alumnus about having a "meeting" at the Cornell Club in NYC. I applied to CAS, and I thought that they don't conduct interviews? Is this really an interview at all because I've heard that it's just so I can learn more about Cornell, but I'm not entirely sure. Will I be evaluated on this?

thanks in advance!

I had an interview and I'm in CAS. It's pretty informal. I forget exactly what they ask you, but it has no bearing on whether you get in or not. I suggest you bring questions about Cornell to the interview since it's mainly for you to learn about Cornell, not for Cornell to learn about you.

The interview is of little importance in the admissions process, but in your case, you should definitely go -- because of the cool location.

Few applicants -- and probably, few students -- have seen the inside of the Cornell Club in NYC.

My daughter had her interview in a Starbucks. How boring.

I had my interview in a library. ew! Well, my interview was an interrogation, and the lady wrote down every single word I said... it was quite scary. But, it seems that everyone else's went fine, so don't worry. :D
