We won't get our scores from this May's AP tests until "mid-July." I'm 99% positive I got a 4 or 5 on the AP Statistics exam, but what if I bomb the math placement test and don't have my official AP report yet?

Maybe someone who went through CAS orientation can help me.. Would an AP score received at a later date override a botched placement test?

yup yup..i asked them that and they said yes, they'll take whichever one is higher

Thanks! That's great - way less pressure now to study for a test in the summer. :)

Anyone take the Chem placement test yet? I heard the test was so hard that a lot of people just tossed the test when they saw all the questions. Anyone know if it's harder or easier than the AP test?

Same for Biology and Calculus placements.

I thought all the placement tests were ridiculous. (An only given in subjects I stink at) The way I approached them was "If I don't do well in Math or Spanish, and they take the lions-share of my academic effort...I WANT to get in an uber easy class. I can take honor seminars (or whatever they're called) and challanging classes in what i kick Butt in. The language is a bear, cause you have to get to "level four proficency" before graduating. So IF you test at three, maybe you only have a year. Since I want to go to Spain and study, I could use all the help I can get. (12 years and AP SPanish and the proficiency test might as well have been in German as far as I'm concerned) The Math & Natural science you only need one course I think.

calc has pre-calac material on it pretty much

bio- was tough

chem-wasnt that bad, but its kinda hard when u dont have any reference tables or anything with u (other than the periodic table which u dont even need to use) but other than that its easy
