What are the students like and how serious are they when it comes to academics? I am curious what the work load is like (neuroscience/biology/psych) and how students handle it. Is education the priority?

I'm a biology major, so i can shed a bit of light on student life for science students. There's really no other way to put it other than to say that there is a huge range of how students spend their time at Case. A small minority are those that party non-stop. They do exist, and they generally can't be very successful in Case's academic environment (particularly in the sciences). For the most part, students have a decent balance between academics and fun, but generally leaning towards more focus on academics.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of partying on weeknights. I often spend weeknights "reading up on my biology/chemistry textbooks in a study room." I put that in quotes because most usually go to study rooms with a group of friends, so it turns into a lot of socialization. One thing i really like about Case is that even though there is a competitive academic environment (esp in science and engineering), students are always willing to help one another, because we're all going through the rough points at the same time (ie. when you have two biology exams and an ochem exam in a span of two days).

Of course, I would be misleading you if i didn't say that there was a decently sized population of students that never leave their dorms (stay in playing video/computer games all day, etc.) Still, I think these students are more of a minority than people realize.

Thank you. The scene sounds fitting to me :)
