I actually did research at Case this past summer, so a couple weeks ago I signed up to present at the Research ShowCASE event. I talked about that and some of the recent awards I received at my school and just reinforced the idea that Case was my top school in my letter.
Any international student with some good news ?
@rqs0786 Oh, well, that’s cool!
Congratulations!
But your case is unique, so I don’t think that’s somehow relevant to the regular folks.
Got admitted this morning!
@Saahilak Congratulations!
I think they will take about 350 students from the waitlist this year.
@Saahilak are you an international student?
@AdultGambino how do you know this??
@herickxz Checking their facebook page, they only have 863 members. So I say roughly 350 if they have a class size of 1250. That was an estimate btw.
@AdultGambino Ah, come on. Not everyone joins the Facebook page. I mean, I got accepted at some other school, and I didn’t join the FB group. I HOPE you’re right, but I doubt it.
@herickxz Nope, I’m from Ohio
Lets hope for the best. I hope all of us get in.
Accepted from the waitlist with $18,000 merit aid, but most likely will not go.
@STEMGuy2323 When did u get accepted??
@STEMGuy2323 Would you mind telling us about your final decision?
@yolo2525 I was accepted today - at around…9-10 AM? Roughly in that time frame.
@summr99T I’ve decided on Ohio State for Computer Science and Engineering - I’m receiving a $17,500 scholarship per year, along with a spot in a Learning Community. I was accepted for Scholars, but I turned it down for the Engineering House LC.
@STEMGuy2323 Congratulations! Thanks for the update.
@STEMGuy2323 If you don’t mind, can you share with us the email where you were accepted? I thought Case asks “would you attend if accepted”? Was that the case?
@bopper I never received an e-mail where they asked if I would attend if accepted. I think they may have changed that from last year. Here is the e-mail I received from them AFTER I saw the update on the portal:
“Dear OP,
I’m writing to let you know that there has been an update to the status of your application to Case Western Reserve University. You can use the link below to log into our applicant portal and review this update. You will need to use your activated CWRU Network ID and password to log in to the applicant portal. If you have not yet activated your CWRU Network ID, instructions can be found at the end of this message.”
As always, it was addressed from Robert McCullough.
@STEMGuy2323 thanks for the update!
