Case Western vs. Rutgers honors program

I'm completely unsure what to do now--both these colleges are giving me good financial aid, but Rutgers is a bit cheaper because it's in-state and the dean scholarship. I'm looking to go into physics and astronomy, and both these colleges are research-based, which is great, but I can't decide which one would be better for me. Rutgers is closer to home so I can save money for grad school, but on the other hand, Case western is a lot farther from home :)

I will work hard and ideally graduate with high honors and having taken challenging courses as well as participated in various extra-curriculars with leadership positions, because I would like to apply to top-tier schools like Cambridge and Princeton afterward. Which school will give me more of a chance?

What will matter most is how well YOU do. You’ll need to develop a close relationship with your professors (office hours, etc.), seek help before you’re sure you need it, get involved in activities on campus, etc.
For this reason I would say, all costs being equal, choose CWRU because you’ll have smaller classes and you’ll live on campus.
If you can live on campus at Rutgers, it really depends on whether you want to live in another part of the country and in a city, or if you want to be on a suburban-y campus near home. Both are good choices.
