What happens if you were caught looking at another section during the SAT?

Does ETS tell the universities that u have cheated?
Does ETS forbid you to take another SAT exam ever again?
Does this mean ur doomed eternally?

No I don't think you're doomed eternally, you just get thrown out of that test.

honestly most proctors are nice old ladies and just tell you to stop, strict ones just take your test away and it counts as a cancellation of scores i think?

And then there are some that check their email the whole test, and don't care what you do.

If it cancels your scores, then wouldnt the schools and CB and all just think that you didn't show up?

So that means other than cancelling my score, the ETS will not go telling on me to the universities?
Such a relief. Thank you all!

frs, haha. So true.

Well, aqaqaq, did ya go looking at other sections?

No, he just wanted to ask this question for fun.

ya, too much time left over for the math sections, so i went off looking at the next verbal section. I didn't even realize the proctor was walking towards me.
She said she was gonna kick me out next time she sees me looking at other sections, and then went up to write something down on a piece of paper. i think she was writing my registration number down or something.
If she was gonna tell ETS, why not kick me out in the first place? I wouldn't have to stand the rest of the text slaying myself with questions.
ALL my friends looked at other sections during the test, why am I so unlucky??
I'm taking it again in 2 weeks. I hope the universities won't know about this.

I see..
Anyhow, he wasn't too clear about it. It just seemed like he was asking formal questions out of curosity.

No, I actually did it.
But never again shall i do it.

None of my proctors have been nice old ladies...but yea most of them just sit there.

So what if they cancel your score and think you didn't show up? I did sign up for something once and not show up. That doesn't work against you.

so, what did you get? :D

haha they just check email, pff i bet you looked ahead and got an advantage. You guys are lucky your not taking the French version , the Baccalaureat not to be confused with the International Baccalaureat. If you get caught cheating or anything related to cheating your next testing opportunity is in 6 years.

aqaqaq:
"ALL my friends looked at other sections during the test, why am I so unlucky??".

me:
"..."

you and all your friends deserve punishment. cheating really screws over the rest of us.

Some of those proctors are uber up the ass. This one tried to take my calculator away because she thought my ti-89 Titanium was prohibited. I knew this was going to happen so I popped out collegeboard's policy and read it to her. Do you see qwerty keys on this, you old hag? And does my ****ing calculator make noises?

lmao, krazykamikaze, looks like you pwned that proctor

A lot of times they don't report cheating. In my school, many people cheated and many got caught. However, since our school (prestigious public school in NJ) has to maintain its reputation, they didn't report any cheating. I heard that was the case but am not too sure.

hey aqaqaq just wonderin. did u ever get ure scores back for whenever you took it and the proctor thought u were cheatin?
the rules they read in the beginning kinda imply that they kick you out as soon as they see u cheating...
