Is it mandatory that you attend this?

no, why would it be?

Opps! i forgot about it. Speaking of it, I could have gotten 2 AA degrees. But i am sure those degrees are worthless.

i wouldn't say they're worthless....

they're only not worthless if you don't plan on transferring.. since they're one step above high school diploma.

oh and would it look bad on your resume if you put an AA down because people will see that you didn't get four years of 'real university' education?

i'm just trying to make myself feel better cuz i lost 2 free AA's. Only had 1 class spring semester which ended 8 weeks ago. Not being at school was how i forgot about it. so yea, they are worthless.

lol. didn't even bother taking a "culture" class to get the A.A. I don't see what the point of it is for those that are transferring.

I just didn't want to get my extended high school diploma in front of a crowd.

My cc even podcasts the ceremony. So, it'll be on internet too ewww

Aha...I've asked this before. Community college counselors say it will make your resume look BETTER because employers know community college is better prep for the first two years (I think this is ******** however). The bottom line is you don't have to put it if you don't want to.

It can be helpful for getting jobs in the meantime, before getting your BA. But it's really not a big deal.

At my school less than one third of graduates actually participate; I think the numbers are similar at other Ccc's.

How about an A.S.? I've never looked into it at my CC. Would it be helpful just in case I fail out of electrical engineering? I wouldn't mind being an electrician of some sort if I can't hack it after transferring.

"At my school less than one third of graduates actually participate; I think the numbers are similar at other Ccc's."

I'll bet you that most of them are international students.

Do yours schools over the AA in Transfer Studies?

THats what i recieved last fall, basiclly it just says i completed the requirements for transfer and so i get an AA degree.

Which would be super useless on a resume, b/c then i would have to explain W T F are transfer studies.

nope didnt go

we have an AA in liberal arts.. which is kinda the transfer studies thing
