Download iTunes, and upload all of your music to iTunes. ITunes’ genius software can recommend music for you based on the music in your library.

Try music-map (google it) if you’re sure about which artists you like
Try Pandora (online radio) if you’re sure about a couple of songs you like (though some bands they play are unheard-of and have only released 1 EP and are thus bad for catalogue-browsing)
Try Musicovery if you like songs of certain moods
Sometimes I just go on YouTube and randomly type in songs I’ve heard of from anywhere, even if it’s by a band I don’t think I’d check out. Sometimes I surprisingly end up liking it.

I can’t remember where I found most of my favorite artists, but it was through random hearabouts (made-up word) and then just exploration and trial and error.

The Beatles is kind of a null point when inquiring about what kind of music one likes…my mom loves almost exclusively country music but she also likes the Beatles. Furthermore, I have friends who listen to techno, metal, oldies, etc. and they’re all Beatles fans.

Based on what you said you like, you are likely to also enjoy The Doors, The Who, maybe something by Aerosmith.
If you want more modern stuff, try Arctic Monkeys, Tha Kaiser Chiefs, The Strokes and The Fratellis. Maybe you find yourself enjoying some of them.

Check out Dave Matthews Band. I’ve listened to the acoustic version of the song Grave Digger like 5 times today. Aerosmith is always good, Queen is very iPod worthy.
