I'll have my AA in Dec. and I want to attend UCF in the spring. However, my GPA will only be around 3.0 at graduation due to a rough start and having to work full time...what are my chances of getting in?

Hey, in Florida, if you transfer to a four year with an AA from a community college, the colleges have to accept you.

yea i know that at least one school has to accept me, and they give higher priority to transfer students...i m just worried i wont get in to ucf

no i mean that i think they MUST accept you.

No, beechbum114. The law only states that you will be accepted to at least ONE school. Not necessarily the one of your choice.

ohhhhh ok i see. so how does this work if every school rejects you? i mean does every school assume that another one will accept you?

beechbum, what school are you at in FL? im at UF

FSU....boo to you gators!

Hey florida people, i was wondering, how bas is UNF?

There was this small chance i was going to have to move to jacksonville so i was looking up UNF and my bf told me that its a bad school..... like horrible.

Whats up with that>

eh...its not the best...its a small school that i think middle-aged people go to. i dont know too much about it though.

I went to UNF for like a semester and got the hell out of there.
UNF is a horrible school! Jacksonville is sooooooooooooo boring! Nothing to do on campus. The people are like those O.C / Laguna beach types. The dorms (if you are considering living in one) are the size of closets with 3 beds. And their is not a wide variety when in comes to classes to choose from at all! A CC has more variety then UNF.

lol alrighty then. i guess that's your answer.

so back ot, what kinda of gpa does UCF req? like the average for acceptance

anyone ?

Their transfer website says you must have at least a 2.0 GPA if you have your AA.

thats the minimum to even apply, I am trying to find out what it takes to get accepted

............................bump

Just apply damnit if you get in great if you dont oh well. UCF is not some uber hard school to get into I mean hell I was deferred with a 2.8 and 21 ACT and then waitlisted for freshmen admission!!! All other schools would have flat out rejected me. So I am guessing with a 3.0 an A.A degree you will have no probs

thats what i wanted to hear haha...personal experiences

Ok so i have a 3.7 high school GPA and a 3.5 cc cum GPA. I want to transfer for Fall 2010 but im kind of nervous i wont get accepted…im transferring as a sophomore. what should i do?

UCF is not a top school, or even close to it. Many high school students got in with a 3.0 or less so if you have that as a transfer you will definitely get in. Remember it’s UCF not UF.

Apply, you’ll get in.
