So Iv got one more year left at my Community College, it will take me 3 years when all is said and done to transfer to UCSD(my first year out of high school I only took a few units and worked on an ambulance, this is when I decided I wanted to pursue medicine) and Iv taken the first Bio and Chemistry class, and I was thinking of majoring in Biology as that is what interests me. BUT, if I want to major in Bio I need to finish up my Biology and Chem lower division next year (along with my last calc class) to graduate in a decent amount of time, which would mean the bulk of my science prereqs for med school would have been taken at a community college. I would still have Ochem, Physics, Biochem, etc at UCSD though, and Im planning on trying to get into the summer anatomy at Johns Hopkins.
So my question is..should I major in something else (only other topic I like is BioAnthro or maybe CogScience) and therefore have most of my chem, bio, and physics done at UCSD, but at the same time have to take a bunch of stuff that doesnt interest me? Or stick with Biology and do really well (honors) at community college and take some harder upper division biology at ucsd to show I can handle it?
