CCC to CSU mechanical engineering

Hey I have a couple of questions about transferring

accidentally pressed enter and posted this before typing out the question lol

I’m currently a student at lbcc and I’m getting ready to apply to cal state university long beach in August for mechanical engineering but now I’m worried because I’ve gone over 70 units. I worked really hard this past year to get mostly A’s and a couple B’s in all of my lower division stem courses and now I’m worried that the ones that went past 70 wont count? Are these classes going to count towards subject credit?

My second question is that I took an upper division engineering class at the school I’m trying to transfer to over the summer through the open university program, does taking junior level classes through open university actually hurt your chances of getting in even if you get A’s in them?

https://www.csulb.edu/admissions/transfer-credit-incoming-students says (emphasis added):

Note that CSULB has a strong local area preference based on which high school you graduated from: http://www.csulb.edu/admissions/local-preference-admission-consideration . Admission selectivity may be substantially higher if you do not qualify as a local area student and are not a military veteran.
