To Pirate or others who were questioning the priority status of Calfiornia community college applicants, I just wanted to make it as clear as possible...

"UC gives California community college students first priority over other transfer applicants, including those from four-year institutions and UC's own intercampus transfers."

(University of California Answers for Transfers 06-07, published May 2005)

But what about those of us who went to a community college transfered to an out of state state college and are now applying to the UCs...is there still a priority for us?

I think pirate got banned from these boards for threatening me with physical violence. Thats good though so every single thread won't descend into his meaningless arguments!!!

"UC gives California community college students first priority over other transfer applicants, including those from four-year institutions and UC's own intercampus transfers."

How could it go any other way? Students from CCC's that want to continue their education that have met all the UC requirements HAVE to transfer to a 4yr school. Current UC students don't have to transfer anywhere. They are already a part of the UC system somewhere while CCC students are looking to gain acceptance to the system, not move to some other UC.

KHSK--sorry, you qualify as a four-year institution transfer if that is the school you are currently attending.

batman32c--that is correct. Not to mention that CCC students are just as qualified as intercampus UC transfers. The ccc system works so well because of this priority too.
