<p>That's weird- I didn't even submit the CSS Profile but I got a FA letter (no money though)</p>
<p>got trustee distinguished scholars, century scholars, and Rice is paying for my airfare to owl days. </p>
<p>sorry to get off the subject, but Taggart, what scholarships did Northwestern give you? I hear they don't give merit money like Rice.</p>

<p>Apparently they figured out that a lot of applicants were turning away from Northwestern 'cause they didn't give merit scholarships, and started this up this year.</p>

<p>I applied engineering, but I only got the century scholars. I'm a bit perplexed because the century scholars involves research, which seems to kind of follow the engineering field.</p>

<p>Most of the Rice kids have extremely good stats. When you get to that level, it is no longer about the stats; it's about all the other stuff that you've done. Posting stats for merit aid would be meaningless -</p>
