<p>honestly @135pipe it might be a reach for you to get into UT Austin. I would say a main factor about this is your academics and standardized tests. With ACT’s that aren’t in the 33+ range you have comparatively low scores. the main problem is that high level of competition for UT in general. For instance, I’m in the top 10%, i have a 2250, state finalist in debate, and strong leadership positions and varsity athletic background for all 4 years. However, I haven’t received an admission decision yet. The situation is quite competitive. Affirmative action will definitely be helping your case but unless you have phenomenal essays… UT is kind of a reach for you.</p>

I wrote y essay as about my abusive father and difficulty of living in Africa and why education is important because we didn’t have that good of one in Africa. I also got a letter from Obama if that helps</p>
