how’d you do on the SAT IIs?

if they are up to par. you are likely candidate for all of the schools you listed!

Princeton-a match…kid with similar stats got in from my HS
Penn-match
Stanford-a bit more of a reach
the rest are more in match territory…it’ll really help applying as a girl engineer…plus your ACT is OUTSTANDING…

Keep in mind, with crap shoot admissions you’ll prob get into half to 3/4 of the schools…but you’re in great shape

Ok, a 35 is an amazing ACT score. I got a 2230 on my SAT; do you think I have a shot at Princeton? (chance me back!)

Your SAT II’s are very very good. I would send the biology actually; although your Math II is bad, unfortunately. If you take the Math II, you SHOULD get an 800 … an 800 is the 90th percentile.

Your classes are very very impressive and rigorous.

What is Mu Alpha Theta? Is that something really impressive? Your extra curricular activities are blah … None that are too exciting, and none of them have a common theme. I’d take off Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford, and then you might have a shot at some of the others.

Good luck!

it’s BAD that i got a 780?? i know it’s not great, but i’ve taken the ACT twice and got a 36 both times on math so i hope that will make up for it? or maybe i’ll retake again. stanford is my dream school though :frowning: (i’m applying SCEA)

oh i forgot to respond to a few things…
mu alpha theta isn’t that impressive.
and i would have to know much more to chance you at princeton!

I personally think 780 is an excellent score. As far as I know 780+ is the highest percentile. Getting one or two questions wrong compared to others won’t really upset the admission officers.

I think you have very solid grades and extracirriculars. There is no guarantee, but here are my evaluations -
Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale - Good reach
Penn, Cornell, Duke, Dartmouth - Very formidable chance
Rest of the schools, I am not too familiar with, but i would assume that you have amazing chances at them. Good luck !

Chance me back?

Wow, great stuff. This is what i think.

Stanford: reach(buit you have a better shot than most people, just HYPS is always gonna be a reach without an connection.)
Princeton: reach ( same as stanford, i think you will get into one HYPS)
Penn: match-high match
Cornell:match
Duke: high match
Dartmouth: high match
Harvard: reach
Yale:reach
UVA: - match
Northwestern: match
Vanderbilt:match
Rice: match
U Michigan: match
GA Tech: safety.

chance back?http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/733304-chance-schools.html</a></p>

you can’t have a 4.0 unweighted if you have an A-
Most colleges treat an A- as a 3.667

but regardless I think you’re solid.

what?? I thought A was 4.0, B 3.0, etc…

you definately have a great shot at all of the ivies; ec’s and grades look pretty solid

yea all colleges treat a as 4, b as 3, etc

is 730 good for sat subject math level 2 if im applying to top uc’s?

I think you definitely have a chance, really.

Please chance me:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735478-can-i-get-into-college-2-3-gpa.html</a></p>

It’s probably ok, but everyone scores really high on math so I would probably take it again if math is what you’re interested in. Chance me?

Stanford: reach
Princeton: low reach
Penn: low reach
Cornell: reach
Duke: match
Dartmouth: reach
Harvard: reach
Yale: low reach
UVA: - match
Northwestern: match
Vanderbilt:match
Rice: match
U Michigan: safety
GA Tech: safety
to me harvard’s easiest to get in out of all ivie’s from knowing ppl in my hi school who got in(just my opinion)
but it really comes down to essays and rec’s

Great ACT and GPA and solid ECs. You should be very competitive anywhere you apply but it is just so hard to get into HPYS.
