<p>I will be finishing my application for Northwestern today:</p>

<p>Race: White</p>

<p>State: Indiana</p>

<p>Major: Philosophy and Political Science</p>

<p>GPA: 3.82 uw (predicted - upward trend with all but 1 of my B's being in my 9th year)</p>

<p>Rank: 11/90 (Will go up after my grades from this semester are added)</p>

<p>ACT: 32 (34 S, 33 R, 32 M, 30 E, 11 W)</p>

<p>SAT II: None</p>

<p>Course Schedule: AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, Physics, German III, Government/Economics, AP Literature, Independent Study in World Religions. (8 AP classes, my school only offers 6 so I'm taking 2 online.)</p>

<p>What I hope pulls me through: I am the only student in my high school's history to reach a 30+ on the ACT, the academics here are poor. I hope to spin my success as a student as overcoming adversity in a high impoverished area.</p>

<p>your GPA and ACT aren’t spectacular but they are in the ballpark. You have average EC’s, so make sure to come through with your personal statement and your Why NU essay. I was a similar applicant (white, indiana, varsity tennis), and got in ED. I’d say high match/low reach.</p>
