I've been reading the **** which some folks out here have been writing about me. Seriously , i would love debating with such people but right now i consider defending myself against my doubters a complete waste of my internet money(since I do not have DSL) and time.

Anyways , could anyone tell me if I can apply for athletic scholarships to the colleges or is it restricted to American students only? And what are my chances?

Thanks!

PS:- Yes terisfan! You guessed right! I've got practicals next week and I am bogged down with my workload.

Yes you can apply for athletic scholarships. But (if you haven't done so already) it may be a good idea to get in touch with coaches first and see if you're good enough for that level.

You have to contact the coaches and most probably send in a Video of you playing your choice of sport because they cannot come here and give you a try out.

^If you are thinking about sending them to the top ranked colleges, I dont think it would do any good. They have already recruited their players. But you might want to check with them.

Yeah, i know - a school like Stanford really can't affor to cut too much slack. I suppose the cash is to get them to choose Stanford instead of Harvard and the like.

well.. I play Softball(Its been over 7 years now..).. I have represented Delhi Team as VC at nationals for 3 seasons... lol.. Its one of the worst teams.. :D

@rashi: Softball? Now that isn't popular down South...here it's only cricket, and, much to my delight, now to some extent tennis (or maybe that's just because of the Chennai Open and the Rafael Nadal phenomenon).
