Chance a somewhat weaker applicant for Smith?

- Key Club (meh.)
- Babysitting (five days a week, 30 weeks a year)

RECs - Strong recommendations from three teachers, two are AP teachers, all are teachers who I've received A+s in.

Essay - Probably decent, going to write it about my experience living in the Western Sahara of Morocco.

And why do you consider yourself as somewhat weak?

I think you’re a pretty good candidate for Smith. I had pretty similar stats (3.8UW/4.4W) and a 2160 SAT. I didn’t nearly have that many activities. Write a strong essay, keep those grades up, and take challenging senior year classes (I’m assuming AP Calc AB or BC, AP Lit, etc.)

Preamble1776 – Your rank (plus GPA), SAT’s, and EC’s look quite good. The only item you can probably enhance is the SAT, and you intend to sit for a second testing (the first scores are solid). I’m not much of an EC sort of person, but yours seem impressive and “real.” You are not “weak…” Good luck kid!
