You’re in.

(Ur other stats are nice too, not amazing but not bad.)

^Haha, I like the thinking of this guy.

And, yeah you should get in…but you never know after what’s happening this year :p

I think you’re in too. One wild card is the high school you are attending. They rate these differently so I think that will play a role.

Try to keep the GPA up. High school GPA is the most important admissions criteria for U-M. Over a 3.8 would be better.

You’re probably boarderline in but definitely don’t view it as a saftey because apps will go up again and CoE is tougher.

My HS is the 3rd-best public HS in MI. My GPA without freshman year is a 3.87 (U of M used to not count freshman grades, and although they now do, the fact that they used to not suggests to me they don’t place nearly as much emphasis on them. Obviously, I have an upward trend). Are my ECs sufficient? Would you say the main thing that’s lacking is the GPA? I’m retaking the ACT in June; aiming for a 34 at least.

I’m curious as to what you are basing this statement on? Are you talking MEAP scores or some other criteria?

Overall college preparedness. The two ahead of it are magnet schools.

Based on whose opinion? I find it interesting that schools come up with their own criteria for making that claim. I assume this school must be in Oakland County as it sounds like something that would come from there.

Haha, you assumed correctly. And my school didn’t make it up. It’s definitely a legitimate ranking. If you want the actual source I’ll get it to you later. Are you from Michigan?

Yes, born and raised but from the less affluent and under top ten Wayne County.;)

Detroit? or like Northville or where?

So what are these, like stuck up private schools?

I have never heard of such a ranking system.

^^ Hahaha. No. I go to a public school. Detroit and Northville are cities, and Oakland and Wayne are counties.

…yeah I got the city and county part

I mean just cuz I’m from Ohio doesn’t mean I’m stupid… geeez

haha

You’re from Ohio…? Ummm, about that… :)

You have solid creds. Try to lift that ACT Math over 31. If you do, and you apply in September or October, you have a decent shot.

Yes, Detroit but we live further south now. I would guess you are from a city that starts with a B or maybe R?
