Cornell: match (and yes, your sister's attendance does help)
Upenn: match
Duke: match
CMU: in, definitely
JHU: match
Harvard and Princeton are a crap shoot for anyone. You have a chance, but it's not high just like it is for everyone else.
I don't know much about Brown or NYU, but from what I've heard, I think you'll get in NYU.

Like you said, your SAT reading score could be higher, but it might not matter since you got perfect scores in the other two categories.
Your SAT II scores for physics and biology could also be higher, but they're not bad.
Your classes are loaded. I don't think you could've improved much.
Your ECs are impressive.
I think the weekly one-hour music lessons with the church children would have made a really interesting essay.

And yes, I actually combined the learning music in India with the starting of music classes, b/c that was where I originally drew my inspiration. I managed to fit both aspects because I felt one complimented the other.

1) Brown (PLME as well)-ACCEPTED
2) Cornell (sister attends... I dk is this helpful?)-ACCEPTED
3) Upenn-WAITLISTED/REJECTED
4) Princeton (reach)- ACCEPTED
5) Harvard (reach)-REJECTED
6) Duke-ACCEPTED
7) CMU-ACCEPTED
8) Johns Hopkins University (Involved with CTY pretty heavily, 3 summers and a lot of distance..... once again, I have no clue if this helps)- ACCEPTED
9) NYU- RANDOMLY REJECTED

AWESOME STATS! U WORKED HARD FOR THEM; THE INDIAN MONUMENT THING IS VERY INTERESTING!!!

You do have impressive scores ! The only thing that disappointed me is that CR score... In any case, that won't definitely make the difference. If you have a very interesting personality, good recommendations (I would say outstanding for HYPS) and your essay is good (brilliant for HYPS :P), I don't see why they shouldn't take you.

Besides, your SAT II scores aren't bad, so IMO you shouldn't worry (not even for HYPSE, cause in the end they look for brilliant people and you are one. Of course that doesn't mean you're in, but you are above most applicants). Plus your commitment to music will definitelty play a major role, since you have collaborated with important people.

Uhm, you'll get in everywhere, seriously. Where do you live - how do you take AP Chem as a freshman and AP Calc as a sophomore?!?! We can't take those until junior year and senior year, respectively!

kittastic... Our school system/area is actually terrible hahaha, but I was involved with CTY. So, I was able to take Fast Paced High School Chem summer of my 8th grade year, then was able to talk to the school to get credit for it, and then take AP Chem my freshman year.

I know candidates that were less qualified than you are that made princeton, harvard and upenn, and the common thing they all got accepted for was their unique qualities.

Ivies eat that up, and you are very unique so I think you can definitely make at least 3/5 ivies. and in everywhere else!

Good luck to you and thanks for chancing me!

1) Brown- high match
2) Cornell- high match
3) Upenn- high match
4) Princeton (reach)- low reach
5) Harvard (reach)- low reach
6) Duke- match
7) CMU- in
8) Johns Hopkins University- in
9) NYU- in

Nice Piano!

Harvard and Princeton are low reaches, but you have an amazing shot at acceptance to both of those schools.

I've looked at this thread a few times and didn't really see what was so amazing; everyone seems to think you'll make it into all your schools for sure.

But then I heard your original composition and was very impressed. Good luck :D
