Reach: Columbia Dartmouth, Georgetown, Stanford
Low reach: pomona, cornell, emory (high match)
Rest: matches/in

Good luck!

Thanks! And I chanced you back.

*Columbia University - Early Decision- reach
*Washington & Lee University- not sure
*Pomona College- low reach/high match
*New York University- in
*Georgetown University- match
*University of Virginia- in (because you are in state)
*Emory University- match
*Claremont McKenna College- not sure
*Dartmouth College- reach
*Cornell University- low reach

Sorry there were quite a couple I wasn’t sure about. I’m sure you’ll get into them, but I just can’t give you an answer because I’m rather unfamiliar with them.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/763068-i-just-finalized-my-list-colleges-chance-me-please-ill-try-chance-back.html</a></p>

Thanks for your opinion!

You have a great shot at a lot of them, but I think the above chances were a little too liberal. I had the same exact GPA and SAT scores as you and I got into Georgetown EA, if that gives you any idea. I ranked it a mid-reach though because I saw more than a few 4.0, 2300+ kids get rejected, so I hope that helps.

*Columbia University - Early Decision- mid-high reach
*Washington & Lee University- low matish
*Pomona College- low-mid reach
*New York University- match
*Georgetown University- mid-reach
*University of Virginia- high match/ low reach
*Emory University- high match
*Claremont McKenna College- low reach
*Dartmouth College- mid reach
*Cornell University- low reach
*American University- safety
*James Madison University- safety
*University of Richmond- safety
*Catholic University of America- safety
*Stanford University-high reach

Wow! You got into Georgetown with my GPA and SAT scores!? That’s amazing. A lot of kids that apply to Georgetown from my school get rejected, in fact I don’t think we’ve sent anyone to Georgetown in a while. But I guess it does help if applying EA, although IDK how much early applications really help, if they help at all. Georgetown used to be my dream school, but as I began to research colleges I started to like other colleges a lot more, so it’s started to slip on my priorities. Thanks A LOT for your opinions.

The above posters are improperly weighing the significance of affirmative action. You are likely in Columbia ED (~80% chance).

*Columbia University - Early Decision - Low reach
*Washington & Lee University - match
*Pomona College- low reach
*New York University - low match
*Georgetown University - high match
*University of Virginia - match
*Emory University - match
*Claremont McKenna College - ?
*Dartmouth College - reach
*Cornell University - reach
*American University - safety
*James Madison University - safety
*University of Richmond - safety
*Catholic University of America - safety
*Stanford University - reach

URM can help you ALOT. I didn’t factor that into my chancing, but if adcoms do consider you an URM, then your chances of admission are really boosted.

Silverturtle is spot on. You really don’t need to re-take the SATs, but if you get 2250+, Columbia will be hard-pressed to find a reason to reject you.

Wow, those are my stats. ib diploma, ap, first gen, though im trying to learn 3 languages, income about ~15000 per year, though i gotta fix my sat scores a bit… good luck to ya and ill apply regular decision there

*Columbia University - Early Decision- low reach
*Washington & Lee University- should be in
*Pomona College- high match
*New York University- in in in
*Georgetown University- low reach
*University of Virginia- in
*Emory University- match/low reach
*Claremont McKenna College- low reach (somewhat random admissions)

*James Madison University- in
*University of Richmond- in
*Catholic University of America- in
*Stanford University- high reach

I’d say the majority of your list is very probable(mostly due to you being Hispanic)
Columbia ED- I’d put your chances at 50%
Washington and Lee-80%
Pomona-70%
NYU-in
Georgetown-60%
UVA-in
Emory-in
CMC-70%( but i think you have a better chance here than Pomona)
Darmouth-60%
Cornell-40%(i’m just not feeling it)
American-in
JMU-in
Catholic-in
Stanford-30%

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/795478-new-chances-brown-smith-yale-scea.html</a></p>

Thank you all for your help.
And haha, at “not feeling” Cornell. I’m not feeling Cornell either. Which is why I’m not applying there anymore. =p

Reach: Stanford, Cornell Dartmouth (maybe Low Reach?)
Low reach: Emory, UVA, Georgetown
Match: Catholic University of American, University of Richmond, James Madison University, American, NYU, W&L U, Pomona, American, Columbiana, C McK C

I’m somewhat new to this and not familiar with many/some of these schools. You have a pretty good profile though. Good test scores. Probably a good chance with most of those schools.

Also, if you could [chance me](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/794886-chances-nyu-u-chicago-case-western-rochester.html), I’d appreciate it. :)

Let me tell you the truth and I am not being racist. YOU ARE MEXICAN YOU WILL DEFINETELY HAVE AN EASIER CHANCE OF GGETTING INTO A HIGH CLASS COLLEGE.
My Mexican friend got into MIT with 3.8 gpa and a lot of sports, but not a lot of leadership!

college kid92, please avoid inflammatory remarks.
If you had truly read my post, you would have realized that I am NOT Mexican.
I even specify my country of origin. So you know, maybe, just maybe, if you want to thrive in college, you should try to cut back on your ignorance.
