Will retake SAT again to bring up CR by at least 50 points, it won't affect my MIT app. Of course i will prob get deferred.

But what do you think?

Cornell: Match
Carnegie Mellon: Match
Columbia: Reach/ High Match
MIT: Well, here it gets complicated because you're Asian, and basically it is very difficult to get in if you are, everyone knows this. Because you say the Interview went very well, and if you did an ED application, I think you can get in because your courseload is very good. MIT(ED)- High match/Match, MIT (RD)- Reach Good luck, Chance me too thanks!

lmao....i think ur equation sums up college selection for all asian males. I think u will get into Cornell and CMU. High reach for CU just b/c of columbia's low acceptance rate. MIT....idk, flip a coin? u are a very competitive candidate, but so is everyone else. The interview might pull you through. Wow, 90 mins.....thats longggg.

I think you have a great shot at MIT, but it's very difficult to tell since you are asian. Your sat score puts you in the running, especially your perfect math score. Your math sat 2 score of 790 is also very impressive.

Being a first generation college student will help you and might even cancel out the fact that you're asian.

You're also in luck with that MIT defers such a large amount of EA applicants that you won't have to worry about getting rejected.

Your activities and awards are impressive. You don't seem like the typical asian kid too much so you'll stand out from the crowd of other asians applying.

Your chances are above average and above the posted acceptance rate that MIT puts out there. maybe like a 20% chance? (considering MITs overall acceptance rate is around 10%).

bump....anyone else?

I think you have a decent shot at MIT, but it's so hard to tell because of the really low acceptance rate, same with Columbia.

Carnegie-Mellon and Cornell seem like matches to me.

Good luck!

MIT - Reach (critical reading score is a bit low)
Columbia - Reach (reach for everyone)
Carnegie Mellon - Match
Cornell - High Match

Please chance me? I am kinda worried, especially with all the competition these days.

well
if anyone from your school will get into MIT, its going to be you
