(and my school has block scheduling. 4/4 with most aps being year-long. so...very, VERY few people make it to more than 5)

white female/ NC resident (obviously)

any thoughts?

(and i want to major in polysci and minor in women's studies*)

You're in-state, so you're not held to nearly as high standards. Just get that verbal score up 50 points and UNC, Davidson, and Wake will be matches.

If you want Duke, you're gonna need at least a 2100 combined...

Chapel Hill is a slight reach- apply EA to get a boost. Your course difficulty isn't terribly impressive, but your rank looks good, and they'll look at your transcript in view of your school's offerings. I've known people with much worse records get in.

Duke is definitely a reach, but not impossible. Strong letters of recommendation and excellent essays will give you better chances. Try to get an interview if you can; they don't count for much, but they're informative. One thing to keep in mind is that the Women's Studies department here is rather, um, liberal. The Cultural Anthropology and Literature programs are also strongly feminist. If you're fine with that, Duke could be a good choice.

Davidson is also a reach. You're an average applicant to Wake, so I'd say it's a match (especially if you get that SAT up a little). Write good essays, and you should be fine.

You also might consider Elon. It's less selective than the above schools, and you should have a shot at merit money.
