<p>ok so i've updated my stats and things didn't come out as good as i hoped they would and i am still losing my mind and probably will continue to until i get that acceptance letter.</p>

<p>Anticipated Major- Business administration or Economics. (leaning toward economics)</p>

<p>Acadmeics- (My schools G.P.A. system is different than most N.C. schools)

-100 hours at local hospital
-140+ hours at 4-H camp</p>

-Parents are immigrants (Ethiopia)
-Raised bilingual
-Sister is graduate of UNC-Chapel hill
-H.S. is best in rural community in north centar N.C.
-Course load is most rigorous that the school offers.</p>

<p>Please give me some advice and explain why you think i have good or bad chances at getting in Chapel Hill, also im a little curious to know if i have any chance to get into Wake or Duke. Thank You!</p>

<p>I forgot to mention that i also have a part time job at the YMCA and that my family is from Ethiopia and i am the first U.S. born citizen but both of my parents have college degrees, if that helps at all. Thanks again.</p>

2) I think you have a good shot.
3) Duke admissions really isn’t about numbers for the vast majority of people: Duke admissions is all about differentiating yourself from the middle 28,000 who want to go there. In that group, which you fall into, everybody looks the same.</p>

<p>I’m from Rockingham, we’re right above Guilford and have a pop. of about 90,000 people. Thanks!</p>

<p>I think you have a shot at Wake and UNC. For Duke you don’t stand out as much. Apply to all three. You aren’t unreasonable for them. PM me if you can’t find some admit data (I posted some in other threads).</p>

<p>Thanks, i don’t plan on going to Duke but i might still apply if i have a chance and if i can get a scholarship, But chapel hill is my dream.</p>
