I'm wondering if anyone can give me a good id

Yeah, you have an excellent chance from the information you provided.

idea of my chances at top schools, because I’m from an area where not many people have any insight for me in this respect.

haha sorry I’m on my phone, didn’t mean to submit it early

That SAT math score doesn’t look too good for those schools; it’s below the 25th percentile of average applicants for those schools. Your extracurriculars are not bad, but they are not extraordinary, so they are decent. Your sports look decent. I think you have a decent/okay chance.

Vandy- Yes.

H, S, D- low chances with the 640 Math and 27 ACT. You would need to be a state champion/regionally ranked trackster and be recruited to tilt your app into the yes pile.

The 27 ACT is from 7th grade, I haven’t taken it in high school…
I’m also wondering if I should retake my SAT for the sake of the math even though I would chance not making 800s again in reading and writing?

So I’m assuming you’re not a senior already, since you can still retake the SAT and have it count in admissions. Retake the SAT to boost your math score, even if you might not get 800s in reading and writing since that score is your weakest link in your application.

Definitely retake the SAT. Even if you don’t get 800’s in CR and writing again, you can send test scores from both dates. Unless you completely bomb those two, even breaking a 700 on math would really increase your chances. Don’t even bother sending in your ACT. Good sports, EC’s are eh. If you get that SAT up you shouldn’t have a problem at Vandy and Duke. Harvard and Stanford can get tricky. They factor in a lot of things in admissions, and it’s not just grades and SAT scores. They want people who can make a difference, people who stand out from the crowd. You don’t have much to show for it, but if you get that math SAT up you should still be a pretty strong applicant.

Thanks! Some of y’all mentioned that my extracurriculars look weak; any suggestions for ways to strengthen that? I spend almost all of my time running or playing music.
