Chance for University of Iowa?

Hello, I'm currently a junior in high school
Stats:
GPA: 2.6(estimated around 2.97 the first semester of senior year). Taking 7 classes and 2 summer courses to bump it up.
SAT: 1800(going to work my a$$ off in the summer to get it around a 2000 in senior year)
Korean
First Generation Student: parents were born in Korea and was too poor to go to college

EC:
Varsity Wrestling: 1 year
Soup Kitchen Community Service(dedicated my community service to several places and not too many): 105 hours
Animal Shelter: 80 hours
Guitar: 2 years
Mission Trip: 1 time
I had a job at Yogurtland over the summer

For my essay: I want to talk about how I had trouble searching for my identity for the first 3 years of my high school career. I planned on enlisting into the Navy to go BUD/s which is training to become a SEAL, which resulted in me slacking off the 3 years. I realized the 2nd semester of junior year how I messed up and that I should go to college to get a bachelor's degree before attempting to go there. This topic is the general idea of what I'm going to write about?

I'm trying to keep my hopes up when applications are due next year. I'm going to apply to these colleges? Is this too much of a reach for me?

University of Iowa
Penn State University
University of Colorado Boulder
University of Arizona
UIUC
Ohio State University
University of Oregon
Washington State University
FSU(I REALLY want to go here. #1)

Please help!

I did not take any AP classes. I would like to say that my schools is VERY competitive, if you do not take AP classes it is abnormal. :expressionless: more than 15 students were accepted to each school such as UCLA, berkeley, USC, and one has been accepted to Harvard. Would colleges know that my school is very competitive? Im starting to lose hope because I took only CP classes this year( junior year) and I’m doing pretty badly.

bump?
