Chance for UW-M Occupational Therapy BS/MS

So I know my current university does not have a forum on here, and it probably isn't known as well as Madison is but I'm hoping there are some WI residents here who could help me.

I'm currently, an intended Kinesiology major in my 2nd year, but I would like to apply for the Occupational Therapy program just in case by some sheer luck I get in.

Cum gpa 3.1
UW-M only gpa 2.64
Pre Req gpa not including the 3 courses I have yet to take is a 2.5 (2.75 is mini)

Surpassed the 70 hours required as a family member is disabled, and I work in an environment where I interact with disabled citizens. My supervisor is checking, though, with the professor in charge to make sure it counts. It counts for internship hours within the Kinesiology major.

Now a little background from the adviser in case this helps you. At first, I was told to repeat the two courses I got a C, and C+ in and the admissions team would take both grades into account. Now as of two days ago I was told they discourage students from repeating courses, and will only take the first grade into account (this is backwards from the university's official policy) So if I wish I can repeat, but they discourage it.

As far as I know there are no essays, but I'm praying that there is at least one essay required with the application because this could seriously help me.
If they do have an essay I will either most likely write in on my experience of not being able to perform activities of daily living, adls, for a week because of a car accident and how this opened my eyes to the need for occupational therapists, or the fact that I've had 4 concussions and how that has shaped my life.

They only have about 30-40 seats open each cycle (I believe for fall 13 there is 35) and they receive 80-90 applicants. They will offer admissions with probationary status if you don't have the 2.75.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me. I've done google searches for questions like this and no one as asked on public forum before so I have no clue of what my chances are.

I’ll bump this by saying I’ll take anyone’s help who has applied, or knows someone who applied to a BS/MS Occupational therapy program that isn’t highly ranked.

The pass rate for the national exam is only 83.3% so I don’t know if this is an indication that their program isn’t good, or if its the students aren’t highly qualified.
