Hey guys.I am applying to WashU under RD.I am an international student and my high school records are challenging and rather tough.I have not taken any AP courses.I have taken the O-Level and scored straight A's.However,my I obtained a 700 for M,660 for CR,and 610 for W.
I am well aware that these scores aren't good enough.Does this mean I have absolutely no chance for this university, considering my rigorous high school records, great EC's,excellent recs and great essays?
I just want to know if my SAT score makes it impossible for this university?I am applying for aid.I am also applying for the scholarship program.
Thanks guys!

Those scores will not take you out of the running at all, though they certainly might hurt your application - and the intermational applicant pool is usually very competitive (depends on your country…). The biggest thing I would worry about is the financial aid. To my knowledge WashU is only need blind for ED, not for RD. Furthermore, you are an international student, so getting aid to WashU RD is going to be quite difficult, unless you get a scholarship (which are very competitive.) I would research the kind of aid they give RD and to international students.

Well it depends on where internationally you are from, and also since we don’t know how “great” your ECs, essay, and recs are, or how rigorous your academic record is, it’s hard to determine. You will definitely be in the lower range of SAT scores (1970 is not impressive, to be honest) of the average applicant in the RD pool, but that does not preclude you from being admitted to the school.
Needless to say, that score will definitely hurt you.

I’m from Malaysia.Well, thanks for the comments guys!
