Hi guys!
I am currently a sophomore, applying to boarding school for junior year.
I know that in junior year, it is much more competitive because there are generally less spots for students.
However, I really want to go to boarding school for various reasons.

I'm an international student and study in a highly competitive international school. However, we don't go by the american system, instead we do IB which is a really rigorous system. My grades from grade 9 were not as great, however I have been trying my best to boost those scores. I converted my grades from the IB scale to the american letters below.

Grade 9:
English- A-
Math- A+
DT- A
Film- A+
Science- A
Chinese- B+
French- A
PE- A
History- B+

Would my 2 Bs in Grade 9 be a HUGE detriment?

Grade 10:
English- A
Math- A+
DT- A
Art- A+
Science- A
Chinese- A
French- A+
PE- A
History- B+

My grades currently have improved a bit, but I am still stuck with a B+ in history. This is only the first semester, but most students have not been doing as well in history. I know this B will have quite a big chance of lowering my potential, so any tips I could still boost my application?

I took the SATs instead of the SSATs. My results are not out yet, but I hope I do well. I've done quite a lot of mocks and my mocks suggest that I would score around 2000, which is quite average :( Results will be out on Dec 20 and I'm freaking out about them! :(

Also, I am quite involved in after school activities and activities outside school.
I've been dancing for about 3-4 years. I've participated in some competitions around my local area and have been in shows. However, these are not solos. I love to dance, which is why I chose these few schools because I know they have amazing dance programs that I would love to be a part of.
In addition to dance (which is my main EC), I have done a lot of service work. I have approximately 60 hours so far. I have traveled to China, Laos and India to participate in service work, mostly teaching young kids english and help renovating/painting their classrooms.

In terms of recommendations, I have no idea what my teachers would say about me because they have only taught me for less than a year so far (we usually get different teachers each year). I am pretty sure my math recommendation should be pretty good because I have been working hard on math this year and been scoring mostly full marks on my tests. However, I'm not too sure about my english recommendation, there's a chance it might be quite average or if my teacher is feeling nice, it might be quite good.

I have also finished all my interviews. All of them went quite well, my interviewers seem to like me, but I know its their job to keep me interested in the school so they get as many students to apply as possible. I have kept in touch with my interviewer from NMH, we've emailed back and forth, she wanted to know more about me as a person and my passions, so I'm hoping thats a good sign.

sorry if this post is really long! I'm just really paranoid and I've been stressing out about these apps cause I really want to go to boarding school and there is a tremendous amount of stress on me from my parents!

Thank you soooo much for reading this longggggg message! Please give me any possible advice and tips/suggestions! THANK YOU! :)
