I am currently going into my sophomore year at SUNY Albany.
Stats:
Overall GPA: 3.44
I was a Physics major my first semester at Albany and did pretty poorly (3.25 overall) and then changed to Accounting and got a 3.66 for my second semester.
Lots of job experience - worked at restaurants and at my school's fundraiser foundation.
Ski club, star gazing club
300 community service hours
hopefully 2 solid recommendations (1 from Microeconomics professor and 1 from an English elective professor)

I am torn between whether I want to apply for the Business school for the fall 2015 or the Economics program for Spring of 2015.
As far as I understand the Business school is more competitive, and thus I have a bigger chance of getting accepted if I apply as an Economics major.

High school stats shouldn't matter since I have more than the required credits.

My essay is about my struggle throughout high school (being an unmotivated student) and then pulling myself together and trying my best in college and finding what I love to study (economics/business). Also wrote about the co-op program that Northeastern offers/requires.

I really really want to get accepted, what can I do to help improve my chances?
