<p>so first off, your gpa is exceptional and your SAT’s are on par with other students applying to the same universities. The only problem with your resume/application is that you seem like a stereotypical asian (not to be rude). You need a great essay which can come easier than you think. If you generate an original story from an experience you had, write it down as best as you can they get some help from a writing coach or a college counselor. That good essay will help you stand out. Also, theres not much you can do about it now, but your EC’s seem a bit stereotypical as well, but they are amazing as well.</p>

<p>I strongly disagree with lawdertrain. While it is true that your rank might not be as high as you’d want it to be, objectively, your scores are extremely strong. Furthermore, I don’t thinks your ECs are nerdy; they are very solid. However, I do agree that JV basketball doesn’t seem that impressive or that it would do much.

<p>Did you get a high score on AMC/AIME? That would help your chances. It’s kind of weird that you have all those math activities but no AMC scores.</p>

<p>welll I’d say you are competitive, but when it comes to the top schools you have an equal chance for all of them. Your GPA is great and courseload rigorous, but the ec’s and the essay don’t sound too hot. either way you’re going to be competitive, but beware, chancing like this only gives you false hope or crushed dreams</p>

<p>I would say that Stanford is quite a good match. But I am not so sure about other universities (I didn’t have time to dig more information outta the internet about these universities).</p>
