Chance me at top schools for a chance back?

3.77 is a little low, but it won’t kill you. Being a URM is helpful, but these schools are still really hard to get into.

Columbia: reach
Princeton: reach
Dartmouth: low reach
Penn: reach
Stanford: reach
Yale: reach
Rice: mid-high match
JHU: mid-high match

I think that these schools strive for perfection and your only flaw was that you didn’t reach a perfect score in everything (they’re lame in that sense, I know haha). Hence my feedback. Otherwise you’re a great candidate, competition is the only problem. Apply to any schools below this and you’ll get lots of $ in scholarships and you’ll do great there too! Good luck with these schools!

Chance me please!

Accepted to Rice with a half-tuition scholarship. Also accepted at UVA and UMD during EA which I forgot to mention. Waitlisted at JHU and rejected from Stanford.

Any chances for Ivy Day? Applied to all but Cornell and Brown.

My guesses:

Princeton: Accept
Yale: Waitlist
Dartmouth: Accept or waitlist
Harvard: I could go all three ways on this.
Penn: Accept
Columbia: Waitlist

Keep in mind these are all guesses, but based in fact. Truth is, you are a solid applicant (I think your SAT II’s are fine and your GPA isn’t too bad at all) but the Ivies are just always a toss up. Nonetheless, I think URM status will help. Good luck!

princeton: accept
yale: accept
dmouth: accept
harvard: accept
penn: accept
columbia: accept

Accepted at UPenn and Dartmouth. Waitlisted at Columbia and Princeton. Denied at Yale and Harvard. Still hoping for Columbia and/or Princeton, but I’m more than happy with the schools I was accepted to. Too much waiting man.

Final (very late) update:
Columbia - Accepted off waitlist
Dartmouth - Accepted
Rice - Accepted
UMD - Accepted
UPenn - Accepted
UVA - Accepted

Harvard - Rejected
JHU - Waitlisted (did not pursue)
Princeton - Rejected off waitlist
Stanford - Rejected
Yale - Rejected

Happily attending Columbia in the fall! Was an interesting ride.

Congratulations! Best of luck at Columbia!

Considering your current experience with the college application process, what sort of chance do you think I fair at the Ivy League Institutions? Here is my chance thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1779000-princeton-class-of-2020-ea-chances.html#latest

Please read through it all, as I have increased my test scores from the original date of the post.
