Chance me at various schools please! (UCSC,UW,etc)

I’m interested in:

UW
CU Boulder
UCSC (not sure what i’d major in there, parents want me to apply)

VTech (Industrial Design)
SCU (marketing)
PLNU (safety)
Chapman
LMU

note: I’ve already discussed pricing with parents- they’re willing to pay tuition for these schools if I can get in

UCSC is definitely possible but also not a guarantee. Your SAT score is within range but your GPA is low below the 25th percentile based on 2016 admission stats. Going to a competitive school can help along with your good HS course rigor. I do not see Cal Poly Pomona on your list since I might have a decent shot there. SLO is another great architecture school but that would be a Reach.

I’d be interested in SLO or any of the UCs (not including UCM, UCR as a safety). Also GWU interests me but I think it’s out of reach

UCLA and UCB are the only UC’s offering Architecture as a major. What major would you be interested in pursuing for the other UC schools?

SLO would be a Reach school based on your current stats for Architecture. See Freshman profile.

Architecture & Environmental Design: Average CP GPA: 3.99. Average ACT: 29 Average SAT:1366

Not specific for majors but your GPA is going to hurt you at the UC’s:

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:

UCB: 2%
UCLA: 3%
UCSD: 6%
UCD: 15%
UCSB: 14%
UCI: 13%
UCSC: 59%
UCR: 78%
UCM: 92%

I’d probably be interested in marketing

Again, Marketing is not a major found at the UC’s. Both UCI and UCB offer a Marketing emphasis for their MBA programs, but not for Undergrad. You need to look at the Cal States if you are interested in this major such SDSU, SLO, CSULB and CSU Fullerton where you would have a better chance at some Match schools.

UCR/UCI and UCB are the only UC’s with Business schools and only UCI is a direct admit (highly competitive). LMU and Pepperdine would be your best bet for Marketing at least for the California schools on your list.

CPSLO and CPP have BArch programs.
