Chance me for 2013

Really just wondering what everyone thinks.

UC GPA (currently 3.71) anticipating: 3.8
Units: 86-88 transferrable
UCs applying to: UCSB(Microbio 9/12), UCSD(Microbio 6/12), UCB(Mol Toxicology 7/11), UCI (Pharm Sci 7/13), Cal Poly- SLO (Microbio) I meet all the premajor requirements or required pre-reqs
Current institution: Rutgers University
Ca resident: Yes
ECs: Founding member of a club at CCC and ended as president, Tranfer Mentor at Rutgers: minor academic advising to new transfer students along with tons of other stuff, volunteering at a hospital, maybe more. (Don't think anyone but UCB looks at the ECs).

I worked a ton more than I orginally thought (24-36 hrs a week) for about 3 years ended last fall.

Sharp upward GPA trend as well.

Went from CCC to RU looking to go back
I have 9/12 done for UCSB's Microbio program, missing the other half of orgo and a semester of calc and the biochemistry unit, that is my first choice hands down.

Chem series, physics series (non-calc based), bio series, half of calc, half of orgo, all of the IGETC accept 1 course all done by Spring 2013. Taking a speech class in Spring 2013 so SLO is probably extremely unlikely, infact I think that deems instant denial lol.

Been working up the courage to make this thread dispite negative feedback from almost every UC admission office considering I'm coming from RU. Be nice!

I used Saddleback College’s assist.org for each school.

it would be nice if someone makes a thread for chance me 2013 lol.

Probably should’ve put Fall 2013 to avoid some of the trolls.

I could do without the chance me threads as well.

well i guess i will see you guys there when the official chance me for fall 2013s thread is up.

Unfortunately for you both that is what this forum is used for :, giving feedback and helping others that have questions. I agree the chance me threads do get excessive.

Remember that preference for transfers is given to Community College Students. Once you set foot in a 4 year, the competition for those very few slots is brutal. I don’t know how long you have been out of CA, but if you have been gone long enough then you may have established an out of state residency, and will be charged tuition accordingly. Here’s an idea, call and make an appointment with a UCR counselor. They will talk to anybody! You may not want to go there, but they are a UC and can give you valuable information in regards to your UC transfer aspirations.

Good Luck to you,
A

For future reference, if you went to high school in california for 3 years you will get instate tuiton regardless. I have called since then, the transfer advisor I talked to said that the only real advantage CCC student have is the TAG other than that if you have good grades and have completed pre-reqs and are an instate applicant you should have the same shot as any of the instate applicant, while preference is given to CCC students. Luckily I am still a dependent so it is reliant on where my parents live. I am still considering calling UCR’s counseling office.

I screwed myself lol.
