o
and it would be Tepper

Top 10% is good, but can you be more specific? Tepper's avg rank is around 3% for the latest year. I think you have a good chance, but as can be seen from this year's data, Tepper applicants with very high stats (4.0's and 2300+) may be rejected. So you have as good a shot as anyone. ED will help chances but you might not need it.

Good luck!

our school only has a top 10 percent ranking
so i dont know excactly where i stand
but is tepper the hardest school at carnegie mellon?
should i apply to another back up and then attempt to switch in??

You can apply to up to three colleges, I believe. Or maybe even unlimited (but I think 3). Therefore you can just apply to Tepper and 2 other schools of your choosing in case you don't get into Tepper, but still have Tepper as your first choice. I believe Tepper recently surpassed SCS as the most selective school though this is arguable if you want to look at acceptance rate, SAT score (which one, verbal or math), or average top %.

Plus, your chances seem as good as any, hopefully you won't need the backups.

: ) thanks a ton

out of curiousity, how did you learn italian?

school,
we have a four year program but i skipped a year and completed it my junior year
it was just something i picked up pretty well

got my sats up to m780 v780 w770
