Prospective English major

Should have good teacher recs

I know that I lack leadership positions in my extracurriculars and am trying to work on this. Thoughts?

I think you have great chances to get into most of these schools. Your grades, gpa, and scores all are up to par, and you have good EC’s. The leadership thing seems to be coming with some club leadership positions you will have next year too. Here’s how I see your chances:

Brown- Low/Mid Reach
Carleton-High Match/Low Reach
Grinnell-Match
Oberlin-Match
Pomona-High Match/Low Reach
Vassar-Match
Wesleyan-Match

Could you chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/739446-chances-colgate-nd-bc.html

Off front page. Bump.

I think you have a great chance at all of these colleges (all of them I would consider low-reaches at worst). If Brown is your first choice, you might consider applying ED.

man i thought i was a strong canidate for BROWN ED until I saw your thread. you have a very strong case everywhere and have done a good job at focusing on enough EC’s. we both know your test scores and GPA speak for themselves if not in at Brown I’d be suprised if you didnt get into atleast Carleton or Pomona

please return the favor

Thanks for the advice. Off front page bump.

Off front page bump.

Brown- A good chance, but with 14% admissions (according to collegeboard.com)- its kind of unpredictable.
Carleton, Grinnell, Oberlin, Pomona, Vassar, and Wesleyan- I would be surprised if you didn’t get into several of those schools.
Good luck!

… bump …

Bump. I’ll chance back.
