Chance me for Cal and UCLA

Biz Econ/Economics Major
GPA:
-3.82 by Spring 2014(currently at 3.78 but am motivated to get a 4.0 this semester to bring it up to a 3.82)
-I got A's in both of my Calculus classes
-B's in my American Music history class, Macroeconomics and Philosophy class
-1 W in Geography but currently taking the class
-Will have all my GE's and pre-reqs finished before fall 2014

Extra Curricular:
-Worked at an Education center for three years
-30+hours per week
-2 years of Math Honors Society member (Mu Alpha Theta)
-Club officer for the Math club

Not a part of TAP

Also, they are offering an honors program for psychology: brain, mind and behavior at my school. Although it has no relation to my major,I was wondering if that can make an impact on my application.

It would be helpful to know your sat/act scores.

Sorry I forgot to mention, I am currently a CC student not a high school student.

According to https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof12_mjr.htm</a> , admitted transfer students GPAs for these majors in fall 2012 at UCLA were:

3.92 Business Economics, Pre
3.93 Economics, Pre
3.69 Mathematics/Economics

ahh… alright. There’s hope but odds are against me.

Bah, to heck with the odds! Odds are just the way of statistics keeping you down.

You’ve got a very good profile, so it will not hurt to apply and see what happens. UCLA may be a bit of a stretch, but you won’t know until you try.

I would also recommend looking at Santa Barbra. It’s ranked at #41 for Business, but the pre-reqs are less intense than LA.
