Chance Me for Colleges! (I'll Chance Back)

I think you’re all set! Keep your grades up and only retake the sat if you want that’s a great score already. By the way, my close friend got into Wharton with a 2040 sat and similar gpa. It’s all about how you present yourself. Make them know that you really want to go there and that you would be the perfect candidate!

damn rly? was there anything like distinctive about this friend of yours though? sports recruitment possibly? maybe a rly high act score? haha but good for him though lol

SHE is a low income Hispanic who’s favorite teacher was alumni and that favorite teacher’s mom works at Penn. but still. And she had lots of extra curriculars. She got a 5 on her AP Italian test. And she had a great interview. Oh and she was a part of questbridge (no fair!)

o sry my bad. haha it seems like she couldve recieved a decent amount of external assistance that i def cant get. but good for her haha

I think you’re a good candidate. But try to show them who you are beyond your grades. Show them that you’re more than just a number. Which one do you want to go to most? You’re a junior so you have time. Visit that school. Get to know exactly what that school offers (courses, clubs, dorms, etc) and make sure you express why you like that school in your essays and interview. Keep your grades up like everyone is saying. But to me you look like a great candidate for all of these schools Asian or not. And I think it helps that you’re rich.

I have almost the EXACT same test scores as you, but your GPA is higher and you have more extracurriculars. I was deferred from Cornell Dyson, where I applied under Applied Economics and Management (concentrations: Finance and Internatl Trade). Based on my experiences with the school, I’d say you’ll probably get in! Good luck!

which do you think i should apply early decision to?

i have no specific dream college because any is kind of fine for me

chance me back bro

I chanced you back :)

jw, how do interviews work? do you have to travel to that college to do an interview with them? bc that seems annoying, time consuming, and expensive

I got into Brown and Yale with about those scores… you have a good chance

u got into brown and yale? bc i saw a few minutes ago that you were still asking your chances for brown on another thread…

Haha
mr. l Hubbard
I’d say u have good chances at all your business shools except u penn
and all the other schools u listed as well

john i dont understand what that ^ meant are you saying

a. i have a good chance at all business schools except u penn

b. i dont have a good chance at upenn, i also dont have a good chance at the other schools…

?

which school should i apply early decision to and have the best chance at getting in? i dont rly care what school i go to, i have no dream school.

u chicagoooo

hmm perhaps… (chicago is EA only i believe), but why that one? jw

Either UPenn or NYU for ED.

idk I had some friends who didn’t have particularly great stats (well they had the high gpas, but not top 10%
) who just got in EA
they’re good writers
which I suspect helped a lot
