Chances for summer acceptance with low ACT?

Bump

If you apply for summer term, your odds are good as long as you keep those grades and that course rigor.

@MYOS1634 I heard that FSU reviews your app for summer if you apply for Fall, do you think it would be a better choice to just apply for Fall instead ?

I think you have the option of checking both Fall and Summer, so you could try that.

Prep really hard on English (Erica Meltzer ACT English is great) and Math (do lots of exercises). Increase your ACT by just 1 point and FSU Fall becomes a match. But make no mistake, 1 point may seem little but it requires a lot of work, because it means +1 in every section or +2 in several sections.

Bump.

Your a junior - work hard and get your ACT up and you will be fine. Focus on Math and Science prep almost exclusively. With 3-4 more ACT test opportunities you can definitely do it and your grades show you are very capable. Good luck!

The big concern wouldn’t be your overall ACT score, but that Math score may not meet FSU’s minimums.

I was admitted this year for the summer with a 24 Act with a 3.6 GPA. I am also an OOS student. I think the main reason I was admitted was because I have several club and organizations. I think you will definetly get in. I am happy to call FSU my home next year.

@sdsupride did you apply for fall or just summer exclusively ?

@Pasbal if I met the requirement for math on the SAT but not on the ACT would that count?

Summer

Yes, if you have the required SAT score you would be fine.

Barring craziness, you’ll get in to FSU for some semester. You have the course rigor and the GPA. Test scores aren’t as important (so long as they’re above the minimums) to FSU.
