Chance me for GW Early Decision

I am incoming senior (female) living in Pennsylvania with a 3.82 unweighted and a 4.17 weighted GPA. I have taken 3 AP classes so far, and 4 AP tests scoring 4’s and 5’s. After senior year I will have 9 AP tests, maybe 10. I scored a 29 on my ACT and am going to take it one more time.

I am in National Honors Society, an editor for the yearbook, and president of our Humanitarian Club. I have been involved with the academic team for 3 years, Humanitarian Club for 4, Yearbook for 3, and our school’s newspaper for 2 years. I am an epée fencer (non-competitive) and have been for 5 years. I am an ordained deacon at my church and have participated in 3 mission trips, and have almost 300 hours of community service. My Common App essay is fairly strong and so is my why GW essay. I applied early decision. GW is my first choice!

I would be surprised if you didn’t get admitted. If you can bump your ACT by a couple of points you would be a strong candidate for merit aid and/or their Honors College. GW gives out a lot of merit aid to stronger students

Thank you!

You will almost certainly be accepted. You’re a very qualified candidate for GW. However, unlike what the previous poster said, I doubt you will receive that much merit-based aid, and I don’t believe you will be accepted into the Honors College. Nonetheless, I absolutely believe if your original goal is simply getting into the school, you’re set.

Hahaha thank you, I am incredibly skeptical too
