In DECA, I went to State and placed 2nd in Restaurant and Food Service Management and went to Internationals, I went to state in Mock Trial, I am in Student Council as a representative. I'm a quiz bowl captain I have done Model UN with the University of Chicago for two years including this year, I have volunteer hours, and I have a published essay on the topic of racism and inclusion in the International Journal of Critical Pedagogy. Expecting to get a letter of rec from a federal judge.

Do you think the letter of rec would positively bolster my application or make it look really superficial? I actually know the guy and stuff, but sometimes colleges think that when you have someone of authority write a LoR, you’re trying to give your application more weight than it deserves.
