Hi I am a 15 year old male that is entering 9th grade. I made a schedule that I am planning to follow throughout HS. Basically I have been putting a lot of thought into my schedule & ECs for HS and how it will help or hurt my college applications. Im from Wisconsin and want to get into a top school after HS. I planned out my HS schedule, and assuming I get all A's, is this schedule and ECs strong enough to get into top schools? I haven't taken my ACT/SAT but have been consistently in the 97-99 national percentile in my standardized testing. Please comment my chances, what I could do to strengthen my applications, what I could change

Let me advise you right now. You’re not gonna get many response because you have no data. No gpa. No test scores. And from what you’ve planned is say that you need to step it up on your ecs. Theyre very average. If you can achieve this though then duke, bc, and ucla would be matches. The rest are all very high level schools and they’re crap shoots because they deny many qualified students.

You may be too young to chance back
But here
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1538022-chance-will-chance-back.html

Obviously a high unweighted GPA and great test scores help a lot at those schools. I have to say that some “zing” to your ECs would help your chances a lot, though. I would suggest you read Cal Newport’s book “How to Be a High School Superstar: A Revolutionary Plan to Get into College by Standing Out (Without Burning Out)” and think about your ECs some more. Since you are just going into 9th grade, this would be good timing for that book.

Since you are going into 9th, all I think anybody can tell you is to stay on top of your grades and make sure to say consistent ech year with your ecs! As for your plan, it looks very rigorous, but may I suggest you also self study some APs and take the exam? It’ll save you so much trouble in college!

Dude…I tried to do this but I realized partway through that I really loved film and so my ECs changed a little bit as did my classes. Just know that nothing is set in stone.

Also think about what you’re interested in. Do you want to major in math, or economics, or medicine? I’ve noticed that people can have outstanding resumes but get rejected–you need to think about what you want to do after college and then let your ECs and your electives cater to that. Colleges want alumni they can brag about, not alumni whose major accomplishment was only getting into a certain school.

You’re a freshman, so keep up your grades and don’t get too burned out. Make friends in the Safe Club so you’ll get a leadership position, and make sure to keep good relations with teachers.

Also think about which SAT IIs you can take. Probably Econ, the higher-level math, and some other one. Your choice to do AB and then BC is smart. But take AP Spanish or AP Physics if you can.

Remember that your success isn’t decided by which college you get into. High school is four years in which you can start a business, write a book, really do whatever if you work hard enough. Don’t stick to a plan just to wait until college to be successful.

Best of luck to you!

Hey, hey, relax. You’re going to be a freshman. Just have a good time, and stay on top of your grades.
