Chance me for my favorite schools.... I will chance back.

Also, I have to add that I’ve received all (except one) of my Bs during sophomore year. It’s because my dad got into a lawsuit and that nearly tore my family apart. My mom fell into depression, and I was so stressed out about the whole thing that all I wanted to do was escape from the world, so I started to majorly focus on photography and literature to release stress. Naturally, my grades were horrible.

I’m toying with the idea of basing my essay on how literature and photography was a venue of emotional release for my family problems in addition to asking my school counselor to make a not of it. Is this a good idea, or will that make me sound too whiny? Or should a counselor’s note alone take care of it?

Also, do you think it’ll let colleges look at my sophomore year grades less harshly (I received 5 Bs in a row and only 2 As)? Thanks!
