chance me for NC state/UNC Chapel Hill/Penn State etc.

so I've been working on my early admissions,
I'm not yet completely sure what colleges I want to apply to.
I want to major in Engineering/Pharmacy, (more likely in Engineering)
I live in NC and so far I have NC State, UNC Chapel hill, Penn state, and elon.
I chose Penn State because I lived in PA for a year and my stepsister/stepbrother go to Pitt.

so, little info about me...
I moved to the states about 2 years ago, (summer 2010) so english is my second language.
I was in ESL courses in 9th grade and exited,
in 10th grade a little bit of honors, junior year mostly honors and now all my courses except for 2 are APs.
I had senior conference with my counselor a while ago and she really liked my transcript, she said they're gonna see that I took ESL classes and my current schedules and it's definitely something to write about.
my GPA is 4.0 (weighted) 3.7 (unweighted), and im 125th out of 420 I think? yeah not so great I know.

the only thing I'm worried about is that I wasn't really involved in extracurriculars, if not at all...
like, I would go to some meetings occasionally but I wasn't really a "member" of any of them.
and I don't have any service hours either. well I have 4 hrs from freshman year but yeahh..
so this year I'm trying to get into FCCLA and Key Club and do some community services.
I know this is going to hurt my chances but oh well...
I got invitations from both NJHS and NHS, but couldn't get in because of this...

also, SAT scores. oh god.
I took one in June and got 1640. horrible. I'm taking it again this weekend,
and I'm shooting for 1800's.

so based on all these, what are my chances to get into some good colleges?
also, what are some suggestions for any other colleges to apply?
I want to have a "dream college" that I can apply to, but I just don't know which.
dang I wish I was smart enough to apply to ivy league :p

UNC Chapel Hill does not have an Engineering program. NC State for that.

Penn State has a good engineering program. Also, if you get your SAT score up to 1800 you have a really good chance. Your ec’s won’t matter too much. They put the most weight on SAT/GPA for admittance. You would be out of state, though and their tuition is high. Keep that in mind. Good luck!

whaat? i’m applying to chapel hill now and they do have engineering as an option for major…
