Seems like a pretty big reach and unlikely, but maybe someone else can chime in.

can u explain why?

Your SATs are pretty off.

you will probably get deferred

maybe accepted there is a small chance

but when you get deferred you should spend every waking moment studying for the sat and retake them

i know its so annoying that my SATs are so low...i am paranoid of standardized tests and I never do well on them but hopefully in my interview I'll be able to explain why.

Interviews don't really affect admission though =/

Hope You Will Be Applying To More Schools Than Listed In Stats Profile --- Very Slim Chance To No Chance At All Schools Except For Bu And U May Get In Under Bu's General Studies Program

Nah the OP would get into CAS at BU.

Penn sure is a reach, but I still think OP has a chance. Her rank really covers for the average SATs.

She definitely has solid chances for other schools (especially BU).

My scores were similar to yours (except I had a lower SAT score). Penn seems like a reach, only because you SAT score is a little low. Hopefully they will get over themselves and let you in. If they don't, you should apply to Penn State University Park. I love it here. Its admission decision is made 2/3 on the GPA.

thanks jec7483 and tahncol86 for not criticizing too harshly...i wish that SATs didn't matter half as much as they do!!

to be honest, a 650 math for a physics major, and not taking the sat 2 physics doesn't look so good. and a 4.0 gpa with a 1900 SAT looks like mark inflation at your school

my school doesnt offer physics until senior year so therefore I was not prepared to take the sat II for it

Hey hopeful keep up the hope! You're obviously a very bright student who just has trouble taking standardized tests...

Well as everyone has said, Penn is prolly a reach, BUT

You ARE a female planning to major in physics (a male dominated field), maybe the Adcom will give that some consideration?

Either way did you retake the SAT for your RD schools (or even Penn if you get deferred)?

Never rule yourself out just because the odds are tough...

Good Luck!

yes I plan on re-taking the SATs this wkend for reg decision schools...Lucaskhan your stats are amazing good luck to you too

You said you're intending to major in physics yet you have not taken the physics SAT II??? You should take this to solidify your app to regular decision schools.

yet again, my school does not offer physics until senior year and there is no way that I would have been prepared to take the physics SAT II
