Chance me for:
Pomona ED2 and RD
Columbia
Cornell
Bowdoin
Haverford
University of Rochester
Yale
Stanford

All Ivies, Stanford, Pomona: reaches due to selectivity, but you are a strong candidate.

U or Rochester: match~high match

Bowdoin: high match. low reach

How much can you pay per year? You needs some safeties in case you get rejected by all schools. Not sure about U of Rochester, but all the other schools are very hard to call them as perfect matches.

What do you mean by “Taken 2 shows to States”?

Each year, a show is screened and determined whether it is good enough for the annual State Thespian Conference and we have taken 2 shows I have participated in. As for the safeties, I didn’t put them because my counselor already told me I would get into them

TBH, I can see little, if anything, msising in your application. Maybe the volunteer work, but most colleges don’t place that much importance on that. I don’t know why you wouldn’t get in any school, but selectivity can kill anyone. Just some thoughts:

Columbia, Yale, Stanford: reach
Pomona, Cornell: Low Reaches
Haverford: Match, just because they place some importance on community service.
Bowdoin: Low Match
University of Rochester: Safe

Again, This is just my opnion based on the selectivity of each college. Persnoally, I think you won’t get rejected to more than two, if any.

I hope this is helpful!!

Thank you!

Assuming average acceptance-level essays, your application is fairly great, but you’re lacking something that definitively gets you into the highest tier schools.

Stanford, Columbia : Reach
Yale, Pomona : Low Reach
Cornell : Match – you should expect to get in.

I know not enough about the other schools to have a valid opinion, but assuming they’re a tier down from Cornell I would say low match / safe.

Bump!

I’ve seen a few people underestimate Bowdoin here. Stanford, Columbia, Yale, Pomona, and Bowdoin are all reaches. Cornell perhaps a little easier, but don’t estimate it either. It certainly is NOT a match. Haverford is a low reach, and Rochester is a low match (meaning easier than a match – counter-intuitive).

You’re a great candidate and have as good a chance as any other applicant at the top schools. Good luck!

Thanks!
