Recs:
AP Bio teacher- should be good. loves me and his rec got me into the internship that had an acceptance rate of below 5%
Honors English 10 teacher- also stuco adviser. knows me well and I have collaborated with her with my essay to get into the internship and will probably send her more college essays so she can see how I have progressed as a writer

I have started looking at the essays and have written some. I find it hard not to repeat the same message with different words any tips on writing essays? Also if you’re super cool and have a lot of time could I PM you my essays and have you look over them it would be very helpful. I am worried my Why____? essays are too generic even though I really like my idea on how to present it all.

How are you going to chance someone back if can’t chance yourself? In any way, don’t worry about it, focus on your interviews and essays

I just found out that Stanford requires an essay on the ACT so I looks like I’m going to have to do that so I’ll throw Michigan into the mix for schools. If you could chance me for that too it would be much appreciated. Also bump

I think being from Nebraska will help in admissions. I’ll chance you for the schools with which I’m familiar.

UChicago EA: my guess is in (but could get deferred) low reach since it’s EA

Stanford: high reach

WashU: in (low reach/high match)

Yale: high reach

JHU: in (low reach/ high match)

Northwestern: low reach

Kansas (honors): in

Nebraska (honors): in

Chance back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1903498-separate-my-college-list-into-low-medium-high-reach-match-or-safety-i-will-chance-back.html

UChicago EA - reach
Stanford - high reach
WashU - high match
Yale- high reach
Johns Hopkins - high match
Northwestern - low reach
Kansas (honors) - Safety
Nebraska (honors) - Safety
Creighton - Safety

I think you should a a couple matches unless you’d be entirely happy to go to one of your safeties.

I’m doing this on my phone so I don’t know how to put a link to my chances thread but I think you can just search my username (1zogden1) and the category and it should bring you to my thread.

Thanks guys and yes I would be happy going to any of my safety schools. The way I see it is that the best research is going to be at the schools with money like a public school or top level private school so that’s what I’m going for. And if I’m going to go to a public I want it to basically be free which it would at the schools I’ve listed. If anybod else has thoughts on this feel free to reply

UChicago EA- ok
Stanford- hard
WashU- ok
Yale- hard
Johns Hopkins -ok
Northwestern- ok
Kansas (honors) -safe
Nebraska (honors)-safe
Creighton-safe

UChicago EA - reach/low reach
Stanford - high reach
WashU - high match
Yale- high reach
Johns Hopkins - high match
Northwestern - Reach
Kansas (honors) - Safe
Nebraska (honors) - Safe
Creighton - Safe

Can you chance me back please!?
