So I recently got into UCF and I applied for the Burnett Honor College.

Here are my credentials...

Weighted GPA: 4.149
Unweighted GPA: 3.760
SAT: 1780/2400 (1080/1600)
President of Beta Club
Officer of the Band Program
Vice President of Science National Honor Society
Vice President of National History Club

Obviously I put a lot more specific stuff on my application but that's a general view of my credentials.

What do you think? Will I have a shot at getting in?

I have a similar GPA and slightly higher SAT scores and I got in =) I definitely think you have a chance especially with those leadership roles.

Any AP classes?
And how was your essay?

Your GPA is solid and I’m definitely liking all the extra curricular activities you have listed. They’ll love that as well. Your SAT score is a little on the low side compared to what they normally take in though so that makes it tough for me to say you’re a shoe in but the rest of your stuff is so good that I doubt they would outright reject you. If you still have time, try to take the SAT one more time. Not sure if it’ll make it in time for the Honors deadline though. Either way, good luck! :)

Thanks! I feel a little better about being accepted :)

I have taken four AP exams so far:

AP U.S. History - 5
AP English Language - 3
AP Psychology - 4
AP World History - 3

I’m currently taking 5 APs at the moment.

Marlins this thread is ridiulously relieving. You and I have almost the exact same courses/scores/amount of ec’s. What did you recieve on the ACT (if you took it)

I never got around to taking the ACT since I was felt comfortable with my mid 1200s on the SAT then extremely comfortable with my 1420 lol. I wasn’t sure if I would get in since I had only taken 2 APs senior year and that’s it. I was a little intimidated at Honors orientation since everyone else seemed to be coming in with a massive amounts of AP credit or dual enrollment credit. But just don’t worry too much about it sifanatic and I’m sure you’ll get in! I’m now a second year student and enjoying all the Honors College has to offer. But if you did well enough on the SAT don’t worry about the ACT. I’m sure they’ll look at the higher scores. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh I see. My first SAT was 1230/1740(I wrote the wrong format of essay). I’m only a junior but I have a strong interest in UCF. My first time ACT was 28. EC’s I believe I’m solid. My unweighted gpa is only a 3.6 currently with a 4.15 weighted but I’m in 3 AP courses + rest honors this year and am planning on taking 6 and one honors next year.

How would you describe your experience there? Also what did you decide to major in? (curious)
